Meet the Doctor
Dr. Lauren Hanzlik grew up in Fort Collins, Colorado and attended the University of Colorado, Boulder graduating with her bachelor’s degree in Integrative Physiology. Her first move out of Colorado was to attend dental school at the University Of Maryland School Of Dentistry in Baltimore. After earning her doctorate, she returned to Colorado to complete a one-year post-graduate residency at the VA Hospital in Denver. Through this experience, she discovered her love for oral surgery. In order to pursue additional education, she moved to New York City completing an internship in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Mount Sinai Hospital in Manhattan. Finally, she landed in Indiana to complete her four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Indiana University Medical Center. It was exciting to attend IU as she has a long lineage of family members attending Notre Dame, and now with her degree from IU, they are a house divided!
Her interests include dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, in-office anesthesia, facial trauma, care of pediatric patients, orthognathic surgery, oral and maxillofacial pathology as well as participating in mission projects both abroad and local, including the Indiana Mission of Mercy. She looks forward to maintaining the relationships she has built both near and far through these mission projects.
Dr. Hanzlik enjoys an active lifestyle which includes hot yoga, gardening, being with her dog, Bella, and escaping to the ocean whenever she can.
