Dr. Nicholas Kolar, DMD MD

Meet Dr. Nicholas Kolar, joining the practice January 1, 2027.

Dr. Kolar is a native of Fort Wayne. He attended Indiana University as a Wells Scholar, one of the university’s most prestigious academic scholarships, and earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from the Kelley School of Business. He then graduated with honors from the Indiana University School of Dentistry before earning his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School.

Dr. Kolar subsequently completed his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, where he gained extensive experience in the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery. Dr. Kolar is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His areas of clinical focus include complex dentoalveolar surgery, dental implant rehabilitation, corrective jaw surgery, oral pathology, facial trauma, and the management of temporomandibular joint disorders. He also serves as adjunct faculty at the Indiana University School of Dentistry, where he teaches both dental students and oral and maxillofacial surgery residents.

Outside of the office, Dr. Kolar enjoys spending time with his wife, Claire, and their two children, Ruthie and Joe. He is an avid supporter of Indiana University athletics and stays active through golf and long-distance running, having completed several marathons.
